Backroads Coffee in Washington

"I’ve lived in Onalaska for a couple years now but never checked this place out until today. Overall not too bad. Coffee was decent tasting but took off a star because the barista wasn’t at all knowledgable about whether they had unsweetened milk options and actually gave inaccurate information at first until I asked to double check. But she was nice enough when I educated her about it and showed her which of her options doesn’t have added sugar (important for the many, many of us who are diabetic, so it would’ve been really bad if I had not made sure, and I’m glad she now has that knowledge for her future diabetic customers). Other than that the only slightly odd thing was the 4 staff members were chatting amongst themselves for quite some time while I was waiting at the counter to get their attention to ask for cinnamon (as most coffee shops I go to have that available on the counter to add to your drink, so I didn’t realize it was behind the counter at this place and you had to ask) but finally I was able to get the attention of one of the young staff members when she walked by and she was very nice about it. The atmosphere/look of the shop was ok. Probably not somewhere I’ll frequent but it’s good to know it’s there for days like today when I ran out of coffee beans at home. Thanks."

"You walk into a nice cozy comfy atmosphere. Latte and shopping. Great start to any morning. Good music (especially if you remember the eighties). Worth the stop."

"Over 100 syrup flavors to choose from!!! Delightful staff! Great gifts, flowers, balloons, and shirts! I love their cookies and muffin tops! They also have in-house breakfast sandwiches/burritos, cake pops, cokies, cinnamonrolls, tea, Italian sodas, kids, and blended drinks! And puch cards!!!! Nice drive-through! You have to stop here!"

"Wonderful little coffee shop! Very cozy inside and nice to look out the big windows. Coffee was delicious. Service was great and it looks like they have a cute gift wrapping station. Lots of cute gifts to buy as well."

"100% enjoy this place! Delicious coffee, fabulous staff and great atmosphere. They always make my coffee perfect and today got to try their new coffee flight — toasted marshmallow mocha, cherry cold brew with vanilla foam, bomb pop lotus WITH cherry pie bar made in their own kitchens. So fun and flavorful! Pie bar is only available with the coffee flights and it was really good. Plus so many cute gifts, cards, decor and flowers available for purchase to round out your visit.
